Jennifer Artley: As the child of US diplomats, and then someone who moved frequently as an adult, I am interested in travel, cuisines, and books with international settings. I have created two blogs: Travels With My Mother about our adventures traveling the world in the years between 1971 to 1994. I have also created Cuisine and Literature: In 2009, my kids and I started a blog called Eat Planet Discover the World where we attempted to eat all the cuisines of the world in alphabetical order. We got to the M’s when we were transferred to Beijing and the blog ended there. In Cuisine and Literature, I will approach it differently. Instead of doing it in alphabetical order I will post dishes that have recently inspired me. I hope to eventually finish all the world cuisines, but will repeat some countries that I posted about in my previous blog. Each post from Cuisine and Literature will have a book recommendation. The authors will be from the country I am writing about, though not necessarily about that country itself. I will not critique the books, but give a description from the book’s cover. However, I will not post anything here that I did not love.
